Instructional Plan: IGD

Students will develop a children's game.

1. Brainstorm about a game idea

2. Fill out game design comp layout sheet

3. develop concept and rules

4. create game board

5. create game pieces like cards, spinner tokens and so on.

6. take a photo of people playing the game

7. create an advertisement for the game

IGD - Children's Game Project



Students will develop a children's game.
Demo and lecture about common board games.
1. Brainstorm about a game idea
2. Fill out game design comp layout sheet
3. develop concept and rules
4. create game board
5. create game pieces like cards, spinner tokens and so on.
6. take a photo of people playing the game
7. create an advertisement for the game






GDP - Cereal Box Project



1. Marketing Lecture and demo
2. Invent / create product and brainstorm for a new name.

AGD - Screen and Transfer Printing / Box that Describes an Emotion Project



Work on design in illustrator
Prepare Screens for use:
1. Re-claim
2. Abrade
3. Degrease
4. Rinse
5. Dry
ACCT-GDP-22. Students will exercise effective project preparation.
1. Create two comp designs for transfer then work on design in illustrator
2. Print out design w/ ink jet onto transfer paper
3. Warm up heat press
4. Place shirt on press then place design print down
5. Clamp press and heat for 1.5 min.
6. Peel off backing after transfer cools approx. 1 min.

Adv. Graphic Design:

1. Plan the location for type

2. Select the appropriate font / typestyle.

3. Select the right color for readability.

4. Add type to each area of the design.

5. Add layer styles to type.

6. Use directional type for sides.

7. Ensure type is unified to the design.

8. Identify typography terms.

9. Create a typography study guide.

10. Paint and finalize the mural

apply to the completion of graphic communications projects.

2. Use Photo Booth to take pictures

3. Research Pop Art (Warhol)

4. Create different backgrounds (at least 6)

5. Create different colors for foreground (at least 6)

6. Print combinations

7. Put panels together
