End of Pathway assessments

The SkillsUSA Work Force Ready System provides assessments for Career and Technical Education that are supported by industry, education and policy leaders.


Students will study for the assessment.
Students will take assessment using the following steps:



Step #1
Hardware & Software Requirements: Ensure your hardware & software is test ready prior to test day.

Step #2Prepare for Testing
Read the following documents prior to test day.
Step #3Enroll/Register Students to Test System: Detailed instructions on how to enroll the student/examinee into the test system. Administrators can enroll prior to testing or the student can self enroll a few minutes before testing.

Grade Reports & Certificates: Detailed instructions on how instructors or authorized administrators can access  student grades, view, print certificates and reports.

Week of 4-23-12 to 4-27-12


Iron -on / Heat transfers
Students will create Iron on / heat transfer design for T-shirts.


ACCT-GDP-22. Students will exercise effective project preparation.

      1. Create two comp designs for transfer then work on design in illustrator     
      2. Print out design w/ ink jet onto transfer paper
      3. Warm up heat press
      4. Place shirt on press then place design print down
      5. Clamp press and heat for 1.5 min.
      6.  Peel off backing after transfer cools approx. 1 min.

Contest for Career-Tech Showcase 4-16-12 to 4-20-12

layout, raster based photo manipulation, and vector based graphic software

applications.

a. Identify and demonstrate the basic capabilities of page layout, raster

based photo manipulation, and vector based software applications as they

apply to the completion of graphic communications projects.

1. Lecture and discuss rules of competition

2. Identify theme for contest

3. Research former winners

4. Complete entry form

5. Create composite using various elements of contest

6. Print composite

7. Prepare for display

Week of 4-9-12 to 4-13-12


IGD

All classes will create animated Gif

Warm Up: Share-pair discussion on animation. Teacher demo and sharing of projects from the past

Instructional Plan:

1. Create storyboard

2. Create and gather images (observing all copyright laws)

3. Paste all images into a new document (ensure the size-in pixels- will handle all the information).

4. Create frames for each scene

5. Add effects and "tween" where needed

6. Set duration for each frame

7. Preview in browser (like Firefox or Safari)

8. Make adjustments

9. Save optimized file

10. Complete a self-reflection checklist

Closing Summarizer: Each day will close with tips for a successful animation.


GDP
