Week of 10-15-12 to 10-19-12



MONDAY:
Students have to create an animation presentation for their flip book. They have the option to use an original character or they can use a composite of parts from the internet. The animation must include at least 30 cells or slides. Students will present animation to the instructor for a grade. Elements and Principles of Design will be identified. GDP Students will begin screen printing project. CTAE Expo mini show signs are in production.


 TUESDAY:
Students will continue animation project. Other forms of  animation will be explained. Students will translate ideas from storyboard and flip-book to the computer. Elements and principles of Design will be reviewed, as students have an activity using vocabulary. CTAE Expo preparation is ongoing. GDP Students are preparing for screen printing project, including preparing the screens and registering their designs.

WEDNESDAY:
Elements of design quiz on thursday. Color and the color wheel will be explored in depth. Students will identify: complimentary, analogous, monochromatic color schemes. Neutrals, tints, tones and shades will be defined. Students will label a color wheel. The psychology of color will be introduced. GDP students will explore the concept of "Spot" color for screen printing. Screen exposure will also be introduced. CTAE Expo mini show signs are in production.

THURSDAY:
Color lesson objectives will be reinforced. Psychology of color will be explored in depth. Stop-frame animation will continue on the computer. CTAE Expo preparation is ongoing. Homecoming door design will be offered to students as enrichment. GDP students will begin to expose their designs.

FRIDAY:
CTAE Expo preparation is ongoing. Homecoming door design will be offered to students as enrichment. GDP students will continue to expose their designs. All animations are due and will be presented. Students may opt to create additional animations for enrichment. Students will have a self reflection writing activity on their animation.
