Week of October 22 to October 26, 2012

MONDAY
Elements of design will be reviewed. Color and the color wheel will be explored in depth. Students will identify: complimentary, analogous, monochromatic color schemes. Neutrals, tints, tones and shades will be defined.  The psychology of color will be discussed with some detail. GDP students will explore the concept of "Spot" color for screen printing. Screen coating will also be introduced. CTAE Expo mini show signs are in production. IGD students will complete a market analysis for their product.

TUESDAY
Elements of design quiz on Wednesday. Screen coating will continue as needed, as the students coat screens for their project. All animation projects will be presented to the instructor for a grade. Marketing and product / package design continues on the computer. Students may select an Adobe application program like Illustrator to complete the marketing for their original drink. CTAE Expo mini show signs are in production.


WEDNESDAY
Elements of design quiz on today. Screen coating will continue as needed, as the students coat screens for their project. GDP students begin to sketch for the cereal box project.  Marketing and product / package design continues on the computer. IGD Students may select an Adobe application program like Illustrator to complete the marketing for their original drink. CTAE Expo mini show signs are in production. Accelerated students can create more than one product. Struggling students will be given a template to aid with the creation of their product.

THURSDAY
Screen exposure will happen as needed, as the students expose screens for their project. GDP students complete an extensive market analysis for the cereal box project.  Marketing and product / package design continues on the computer. IGD Students may select an Adobe application program like Illustrator to complete the marketing for their original drink. CTAE Expo mini show signs are in production.
 Accelerated students can create more than one product. Struggling students will be given a template to aid with the creation of their product.

FRIDAY
Screen exposure will continue as needed, as the students expose screens for their project. GDP students will translate their design ideas for the cereal box project to the computer.  Marketing and product / package design continues on the computer, and students must complete AD designs for the finished product. The AD must contain an original photo of the product.  IGD Students may select an Adobe application program like Illustrator to complete the marketing for their original drink. CTAE Expo mini show signs are in production. Accelerated students can create more than one product. Struggling students will be given a template to aid with the creation of their product.
