Week of 10-13-14 to 10-17-14

MONDAY:
Standards:
AAVTC-GDP-4 Understand and demonstrate the fundamental basic elements and principles of design.
AAVTC-GDP-5 Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental basics of a creative brief and demonstrate the proper usage.
AAVTC-GDP-6 Explore color and the variety of methods in which it can be applied. Interpret and apply color models through graphic manipulations.

Opening:
Brain Puzzle:

 Important questions that such brain puzzles help address:
  1. How do students think? (e.g. do they structure their thinking upfront, do they establish their assumptions before diving in, do they lay out all the calculations before plugging in the numbers and crunching the solution, etc.)
  2. Can they 80/20 it and quickly boil down all the information in order to isolate the key questions/facts that actually matter? (often they will sidetrack you with extraneous information )

  • Letterhead  (sketch, design and print)
  • Note Card (sketch, design and print)
  • Postcard (sketch, design and print)

NOTES:
Re-Branding and Creative Brief are due on Wednesday for GDP.
Self-Branding and Creative Brief are due on Wednasday for AGD.
Students will work on the door for Homecoming as enrichment.
Several activities are a carry over, as the students have not completed them from last week.
