Week of 3-16-15 to 3-20-15

MONDAY:
AAVTC-GDP-6
Explore color and the variety of methods in which it can be applied. Interpret and apply color models through graphic manipulations. Identify the output issues involving color and demonstrate the proper usage.
6.1 Demonstrate an understanding of how color impacts the creative strategy of a project.
6.2 Choose and implement optimal color schemes.
6.3 Demonstrate effective use of black and white (one-color) design.
6.4 Generate monochromatic, limited chromatic and full-color solutions to solve design problems.

Students are exploring the idea of mixing colored inks. They will complete a vocabulary activity on inks used in the graphic design industry. In addition they are doing a content reading assessment on various ink types. AGD is developing an animated GIF for their PBL. GDP is finalizing their sketches for the soapbox project. The screen-printing project is still ongoing.

TUESDAY:

AAVTC-IGD-1010.1 Discern appropriate use of technology in areas of color and design choices. 10.2 Evaluate photographic digital input techniques for maximum effect. 10.3 Manage resolution issues. 10.4 Assess the issues of sizing images in various forms

Students are Employing digital input techniques as they input their sketches into the computer. AGD is developing an animated GIF for their PBL. GDP is finalizing their sketches for the soapbox project. The screen-printing project is still ongoing

WEDNESDAY:


AAVTC-IGD-1010.1 Discern appropriate use of technology in areas of color and design choices. 10.2 Evaluate photographic digital input techniques for maximum effect. 10.3 Manage resolution issues. 10.4 Assess the issues of sizing images in various forms

12.1 List and understand output methods and applications used in the graphics industry

Students begin to output their ideas from the computer to a printer. AGD is developing an animated GIF for their PBL. GDP is manipulating and printing projects for the soapbox project. The screen-printing project is still ongoing


FRIDAY:

AAVTC-GDP-12
